Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues | Blues/R&B | May 29, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
Mac Arnold’s first band included a young James Brown on piano. During this time, he also recorded LPs with Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker.
He later formed The Soul Invaders, backing artists including The Temptations and B. B. King. In the early ’70s, Mac moved to Los Angeles, where he worked at ABC Television and on Soul Train with his friend Don Cornelius. He also played bass on the television show Sanford and Son and performed with Otis Redding and B. B. King.
After retiring from show business to become an organic farmer in South Carolina, Mac returned to music with his own band, Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues. July 17 | Band of Oz
Band of Oz | Beach/Pop | July 17, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
In the mid-sixties the group known as Band of Oz had its humble beginnings in eastern North Carolina (Grifton) . It was a bunch of grammar and junior high school guys (because no one was old enough to drive) being hauled around in Ray Houston’s Chevy station wagon pulling a little red trailer. The group at that time was called The Avengers.
As the mid-sixties would have it the band was a guitar and keyboard group playing the sock hops at area schools, private parties and an occasional club whenever the owner would risk having them. The latter part of the sixties saw the group bring in a horn section which brought a big change in the music. Freddy Tripp (Band of Oz, Dynamic Upsetters, Embers, Shakers, Breeze Band, etc.) and Jimmy Smith were the first horn players. Until the name change around 1970 three members of the group had remained the same Johnnie Byrd, Buddy Johnson and Keith Houston.
From rocking stages across the Southeast to singing in the choir loft, Trey Duncan has embraced nearly every corner of music. Based in Greenville, SC, he’s an independent Country Rock’n’Soul artist performing professionally since 2019, blending Chris Stapleton–inspired vocals with a light-hearted presence and versatile guitar work.
Raised in a musical family, Trey learned guitar from his father and a love for country and honest songwriting from his mother. Singing and playing in church helped shape the “soul” in his sound.
After winning open mic competitions at Smiley’s Acoustic Cafe and Eddie’s Attic, he honed his craft with Kings Ransome and has shared the stage with Taylor Hicks, Doug Stone, T. Graham Brown, Hinder, Michael Angelo Batio, Tony MacAlpine, and Neil Zaza. His work has earned Upstate Music Award nominations, and his song “Running on Empty” represented the region in NSAI’s 2020 Anthem Chapter Challenge. Always serious about his craft, Trey is happy to share a song—and a smile.
July 31 | Randomonium
Randomonium | Variety | July 31, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
Randomonium was founded in a moment of inspiration on a back porch in the Upstate of South Carolina in 2015 by husband and wife Sean and Heidi Chapman, and their good friend/ neighbor Atticus Killough. It seemed like a great way to let off some steam, and enjoy a shared love of a huge variety of genres and artists… And it grew to be so much more! In the early days, the band focused on playing any place they could- from the streets of Greenville to small coffee shops, to the inside of grocery stores, and other venues both typical and atypical. Their high energy, interactive performances and extremely diverse and deep song catalog has helped them create music experiences that appeal to a wide variety of audiences. They offer several themed shows besides their usual randomness, such as their 80’s experience, Nëon Ärcädiä; their 90’s and 00’s focused show, All Apologies; their Yacht iteration, Yacht Rando; and (NEW!) their Pink Floyd Tribute shows (Dark side of the Moon, released October of 2023, and the Wall, coming November of 2024). Randomonium is now one of the most recognizable acts in the Upstate area. Playing music for those that love it AND building community is their passion, and they want to spread their love of music and the true spirit of rock n’ roll far and wide.
