The Mauldin Cultural Center offers space to host your next special event or art class!   Please read each section carefully before contacting the Cultural Center for your next event.

  • We are currently accepting reservations and inquiries between August 2021 and July 2022 ONLY. If you would like to inquire about renting space outside of that timeframe, please check back in with us in August 2022 once we have determined our next season.

  • DO provide space for one-off classes, meetings, and special events.

WHAT’S YOUR OCCASION?

Event & Meeting Rental

The Mauldin Cultural Center is available to rent for rehearsal dinners, weddings, reunions, parties, showers, meetings, training, team-building, and corporate events. Our Meeting Room, Auditorium, and Amphitheater spaces are perfect for these types of events!

Artisan Classroom  Rental

Both our Artisan Studio and Meeting Room can be used for arts education classes. These rooms can be reserved for art educators who provide short-term private and group lessons that do not conflict with our current arts education classes.

WHICH ROOM FITS YOUR NEEDS?

MEETING ROOM

Capacity: 64 maximum

Suggested Functions: Rehearsal dinners, reunions, parties, showers, arts classes, meetings, training, and corporate events

Amenities Included: Access to the catering kitchen, small platform, podium, and ceiling-mounted projector & screen (cables and computers not provided or set up by venue), Wi-Fi

Setup: Room is pre-set with (8) round tables, (8) chairs at each table, (2) rectangle tables, and (1) trash can (other layouts allowed, but not provided by venue).

Rate Option 1: $60 per hour, plus $100 security deposit

Rate Option 2: 25% of collected class income (Example: If 10 students pay instructor $10 each, the collected class income is $100. The instructor keeps $75 and pays the Cultural Center $25), plus $100 security deposit. This option is only for arts education classes.

artisan studio

ARTISAN STUDIO

Capacity: 32 maximum

Suggested Functions: Art classes that do not conflict with our current art education classes.

Amenities Included: Access to the catering kitchen and Wi-Fi

Setup: Room is pre-set with (10) rectangle tables, (32) chairs, and (1) trash can (other layouts allowed, but not provided by venue).

Rate Option 1: $40 per hour, plus $100 security deposit

Rate Option 2: 25% of collected class income (Example: If 10 students pay instructor $10 each, the collected class income is $100. The instructor keeps $75 and pays the Cultural Center $25), plus $100 security deposit.

AUDITORIUM

Capacity: 250 maximum theatre-style, 150 maximum banquet-style

Suggested Functions: Dress rehearsals, rehearsal dinners, weddings, team building, and corporate events

Amenities Included: Access to the catering kitchen and Wi-Fi

Setup: Room seating is pre-set based on upcoming theatrical productions (theatre-style) and includes (2) trash cans. Other layouts are allowed, but not provided by venue.

Rate: $2,000 per day, plus $500 security deposit

Audiovisual equipment may be rented for $500 per day, plus $35 per hour for a technician

AMPHITHEATER

Capacity: 500+

Suggested Functions: Dress rehearsals, rehearsal dinners, weddings, team building, and corporate events

Amenities Included: Wi-Fi, electricity on stage and power stub-ups

Setup: The amphitheater is a blank slate! You may set it up as you wish, but setup is not provided by the venue.

Rate: $3,000 per day, plus $500 security deposit

Audiovisual equipment may be rented for $500 per day, plus $35 per hour for a technician

CATERING KITCHEN

*SHARED BY ALL RENTALS*

Amenities Included: Refrigerator, commercial ice machine, range stove/oven (for warming only), microwave, dishwasher, and sink

Rate: This space may be available for use during your rental period upon request. This space is not available as a standalone rental.

Note: All events must be self-catered. Food, beverages and kitchen wares will not be provided by MCC. This kitchen is to be used for warming, cooling, and storage only. No cooking will be allowed in this kitchen. All items brought into the kitchen must be removed by the renting party. Any items left will result in a deduction from the rental security deposit and will be disposed of.

We do not require guests to use specific caterers, but we do have some who are familiar with our facility. Find them on our Vendors & Venues list!

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

Rental Hours

When making your reservation, please note that your requested rental hours must include the time you need to set up and clean up.

Our facility is available for rent during the following hours:

Monday – Thursday |  8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday & Saturday |  8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Rentals are unavailable on Sundays and all major holidays. All dates are subject to the discretion of the Mauldin Cultural Center.

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is allowed in the facility, but all requests must be submitted no less than 30 days prior to event date, the event host must agree to comply with City of Mauldin’s Alcohol Policy, and the request must be approved by staff. All stipulations and components of the policy MUST be met and followed without exception. Some events will require the purchase of Liability Insurance and security. Liability Insurance

Some lessees may be required to obtain a Liability Insurance Policy for their event that lists the City of Mauldin as co-insured. If your event carries a “special risk” (e.g. alcohol, inflatables, animals, heating elements, etc.), you may be required to obtain a policy.

The City offers a low-cost event-specific insurance program, Tenant User Liability Insurance Program (TULIP). If you believe your event may require this insurance, please contact the Cultural Center staff for the Venue ID Code, which can be used to obtain a quote from OneBeacon Insurance Group.

To reserve your date and time, you must submit a completed rental agreement and a security deposit (in the form of cash, check, or money order only). All checks made payable to the City of Mauldin.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT THIS AGREEMENT, PLEASE READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND THEN CONTACT THE CULTURAL CENTER TEAM TO CHECK ON AVAILABLE DATES.

Be Ready for the Call — contacting the Cultural Center office, make sure your event qualifies for the rental of our space and that you know the nature of your event, which room you are interested in, what hours you’d like to book, and several dates that work for you.
